The mistake we get called to fix is LVP floating over a subfloor that was never flattened. The planks telegraph every dip, joints separate, and the floor clicks when you walk on it. The plank is waterproof; the install still has to be right.

Our Luxury Vinyl Plank Process

We remove the old floor, haul it away, and check the subfloor for moisture and flatness. Concrete gets a moisture test and grinding or patching where needed. Wood subfloors get screwed down and leveled.

Then we install the planks, either floating with a click lock or glued down depending on the room and product. We plan the layout so cuts along walls are balanced, leave the right expansion gap at every edge, and finish with baseboard or shoe molding and clean transitions to tile or carpet. An acoustic underlayment keeps things quiet on upper floors.
